John,

This week marks 32 years since the National Voter Registration Act (NVRA) was signed into law – a landmark victory in the fight to make our democracy more fair, accessible, and inclusive.

The NVRA was a promise: that every eligible American, no matter their background, would have a voice in our elections.

But today, that promise is under attack. We must act now to defend the freedom to vote, John. There’s no time to wait. If you believe in protecting and expanding voting rights, add your name today: [[link removed]]

Just last month, the MAGA Majority in the House passed a dangerous voter suppression bill that would create new barriers to voting – potentially disenfranchising millions.

And across the country, extremist lawmakers are purging voter rolls, restricting ballot access, and targeting the very communities the NVRA was meant to protect: communities of color, Indigenous voters, young people, women, disabled voters, and seniors.

That also includes the Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) community – the fastest-growing segment of voters – with the power to shape the outcome of elections nationwide.

The right to vote is the foundation of our democracy. It’s how we make our voices heard, hold our leaders accountable, and shape the future of our country. With our democratic values under attack like never before, we must meet this moment with action.

Thirty-two years ago, we made a promise. Now it’s up to us to keep it.

Thank you for taking action,

Marilyn Strickland
