Lizzie and the team have reviewed your submissions, and we want to highlight some of the key themes. These are the top five issues you told us are weighing most heavily on your minds:
1️⃣ American Government Stability – The so-called “DOGE” group’s mass firings and dismantling of key agencies have many of you deeply alarmed.
2️⃣ Protecting the Constitution – Concerns about defiance of court orders and threats to the separation of powers were echoed again and again.
3️⃣ Foreign Policy – Aligning with Russia, abandoning Ukraine, and gutting diplomacy drew serious concern.
4️⃣ Social Security & Medicare – Cuts to services and efforts to make benefits harder to access are a major worry.
5️⃣ Education – Abolishing the Department of Education and stripping away federal support is seen as a direct attack on our future.
Many of you used the open-ended responses to describe a sense of chaos, a grim outlook, and a deep concern about where the country is headed. You spoke about the long-term consequences of these policy choices—from undermining scientific research to weakening democratic institutions.
But you didn’t stop at concern—you called for action. You urged legal challenges, political pressure, and a louder public response. And that’s exactly what Lizzie’s team is focused on.
One thing is clear: we have to do those things and we have to win back the House majority in 2026. We need leaders who will fight to protect our rights, stand up to extremists, and rebuild what’s being torn down.
