If you haven’t yet heard about Trump’s “Big Beautiful Bill” that House Republicans are trying to ram through Congress, you should, John.

It will impact real lives. Real people. And once again, we’re witnessing Trump and his MAGA bandwagon put tax cuts for the wealthiest individuals over people like you. Before I get into what’s actually in this bill, I’m counting on this grassroots movement to come together right now to help JanePAC elect climate leaders who will meet this moment head-on. Behind all the spin and slogans, what the GOP is proposing is one of the most dangerous climate rollbacks in history. This bill claws back $6.5 billion in climate funds from the Inflation Reduction Act. These are vital dollars already set aside and promised to the people.

The rollbacks include billions in clean energy tax credits that help communities across the country lower their electricity bills and build good-paying jobs in solar, wind, and EV manufacturing.

There are projects already underway — many of them in Republican districts — that would be stopped cold.

They’re even pushing to loosen pollution rules; cancel funding to monitor smog and methane; speed up drilling permits on public lands; and scrap investments that help low-income communities breathe cleaner air.

All of this chaos and destruction for what? To bankroll another round of tax giveaways for the ultra-wealthy.

Environmental groups are sounding the alarm. If this bill passes, there could be even more oil and gas drilling on public lands and a dangerous rise in planet-heating emissions in the United States.

This “Big Beautiful Bill” is nothing but a reckless, fossil-fueled betrayal dressed up with a bow. And it’s a brutal reminder of what we’re up against.

Our planet doesn’t have four more years. The fight is happening right here, right now. We’re the first generation to feel the full weight of the climate crisis, and the last that can still shift the path we’re on.
