As I write this email, Republicans in Congress are ramming through Trump’s “big, beautiful” bill that would make devastating cuts to Medicaid and SNAP while giving massive tax breaks to billionaires.

If this bill passes:

• More than 60,000 children in my district could lose access to SNAP benefits, making it harder for their families to put food on the table
• Over 100,000 people in NC-04 could be at risk of losing access to Medicaid benefits that provide live-saving care, doctor visits, and prescription drugs

So let’s be clear: this isn’t about fiscal responsibility. It’s about slashing funds and benefits from working families to finance huge tax breaks for billionaires and big corporations.

I’m a strong NO vote and I’m fighting in Congress to stop this bill — but we need to hear from EVERYONE to turn up the pressure on Republicans and bring attention to their shameful scheme.

So please, will you sign my petition now to defend Medicaid and SNAP and tell Republicans that we will hold them accountable if they gut these essential programs?
