See these two?

That's me and my brother Alex. We were born in Ukraine to a Jewish family during the height of the Cold War.
Back then, we never could have imagined where life would take us — that we’d both wear the uniform of a nation that gave us refuge, or that we’d find ourselves at the heart of a constitutional crisis, listening as a sitting U.S. President tried to extort our birth country and ally, Ukraine, into investigating his political rival.
But those two little boys were raised to believe in truth, service, and sacrifice. This country taught us that. Our military careers cemented it. And when that moment came, we knew what we had to do.
So we reported that call, knowing full well it could end our military careers.
Yes, Trump ended our military service. But he couldn’t take away our oath. He couldn’t shake our commitment to this country. And he never will.
I’ve carried that same sense of duty with me to Congress. I took that oath again when I became the U.S. Congressman for Virginia’s 7th District. And today, I’m still standing up for our democracy, our values, and the truth — no matter the political cost.
But Trump and his MAGA allies haven’t forgotten. They’re coming for me — again. Donald Trump. Elon Musk. Ed Martin. The right-wing machine. They’re targeting me with everything they’ve got. They want retribution, so they’re going to try to silence me, remove me from Congress, and stop me from standing up to them.
I didn’t back down when Trump threatened me the first time, and I won’t back down now.
But I can’t do this alone. So I’m asking:

Those two little boys in the photo never could’ve imagined they’d have a grassroots team of hundreds of thousands standing beside them. But here you are. And I’m so grateful.
