In Gaza, nearly every single child is at risk of famine.


Today, a UN humanitarian chief stated that 14,000 babies are at risk of dying within the next 48 hours if lifesaving aid isn't allowed into Gaza.

A two-month aid blockade — combined with intensified violence over the last few days — has led to this dire situation.

Just since last week, more than 400 people have been killed and over 1,000 people have been injured as the violence continues to escalate.

For over 2 months, no aid entered Gaza. Now, almost all of Gaza’s 2.1 million people (nearly half of whom are children) are in crisis-level acute food insecurity – or worse.** There is a critical risk of famine.


The few aid trucks that have crossed the border in the last few days are not enough to meet the needs for urgent, lifesaving assistance across Gaza. With more than 1.1 million children struggling to survive, there is no time to waste in allowing full access to humanitarian aid.

Humanitarian organizations, including Save the Children, are ready to deliver life-saving aid. But our teams in Gaza need unimpeded access to reach all civilians who need assistance.
