Any day now, the House is set to vote on a dangerous bill that will slash Medicaid by $700 billion, ripping coverage away from at least 8.6 million people – including countless domestic workers nationwide.
The consequences will be catastrophic, severing the only lifeline to healthcare for millions and the livelihoods of countless care workers. We’re not being hyperbolic when we say people will die if these cuts go ahead.
But, here’s the thing: if the House majority loses just a few votes, this bill will not pass. And some representatives are still making up their minds, so your representative urgently needs to hear your voice right now before it’s too late.

The stakes couldn't be higher for millions of domestic workers across the country. For many of us, Medicaid is our only access to essential treatments, medication, and preventative care. This bill directly endangers our community, threatening to tear away coverage in the blink of an eye.
Widespread outcry is forcing representatives on both sides of the aisle to speak out against these cuts. But, as House leadership and the White House pile on the pressure to pass the bill, it’s going to take ALL of us speaking out to make the pressure great enough to stop it.
Our voices have power – but only if we act urgently, together. Congressional offices tally every email and call received from constituents. When thousands of us speak out in unison, lawmakers feel immense pressure to protect care workers and their families – and to reject legislation like this that harms the most vulnerable.
At this critical moment, we must flex our collective strength — making it clear that cutting Medicaid and harming millions of families is unacceptable.
