John,
Donald Trump wants to “make showers great again” — and we’re going to pay for it.
We wish we were joking.
Because of a personal gripe with water pressure, Trump signed an executive order to gut energy and water efficiency rules for household appliances. In response, his Department of Energy just announced plans to roll back 47 critical regulations, which by the federal government’s own accounting, saved the average household $576 in 2024 alone.
We’re tired of footing the bill for the Trump administration’s revenge politics. SEEC members in Congress are working every day to ensure the real kitchen table issues — our jobs, our energy bills, and our health — are our government’s top priority. Will you chip in any amount you can to help us protect these common-sense energy standards? [[link removed]]

But of course, it doesn’t stop there. Trump also wants to kill Energy Star, the EPA program that’s helped millions of Americans choose energy-efficient appliances and save money for nearly 30 years. It’s one of the most cost-effective government programs out there. Naturally, Trump wants to shut it down.
Because at the end of the day, it’s not about facts or keeping American consumers informed. It’s about Trump’s personal grievances — and we’re the ones who are paying for it. Pet peeves are not policy, John.
From tariffs to energy inefficiency, Trump’s anti-consumer agenda has to stop here. But we have to come together to make that happen. Will you donate $15 to help us hold the line against these petty attacks? [[link removed]]
DONATE $15 → [[link removed]]These consequences will hit every American’s wallet, John. Let’s make it easier to keep the lights on.
Thank you,
– SEEC PAC
Thanks to your help in 2024, SEEC PAC was able to re-elect over 95% of our pro-environment members to the U.S. House of Representatives — defying the odds on a night where Democrats lost seats. Now we are counting on you to help our SEEC members pass climate, clean energy and environmental justice policies in the 119th Congress while we continue fighting for a sustainable future. But if you'd like to receive fewer emails, we understand.
