Before taking the stage for my town hall in Allentown on Saturday, I spoke with three Trump supporters planning to protest the event. 

After listening to them, I suggested there was at least one problem on which we saw eye to eye—Americans pay way too much for prescription drugs, more than any other country. 

They agreed, and as I discussed my plan to reduce drug prices in my speech, they applauded alongside Democrats and Independents in the audience who felt the same way they did.

Trump’s executive order lowering drug prices by 30 to 80 percent proves that both Democrats and Republicans support lowering the cost of prescription drugs. The only way we can effectively prevent Big Pharma from exploiting Americans is to legislate caps on prescription drug prices.

That’s why I’ve introduced the Global Fairness in Drug Pricing Act, a bipartisan bill to codify President Trump’s executive order. Republicans in Congress have no excuse not to join me and deliver relief for Americans.
