I wanted to reach out to ensure that you received the email below. Literacy Hubs are having a tremendous impact on children and families throughout our community. We’re currently operating three Literacy Hubs at Lattie Coor School in Avondale, as well as at Peralta Elementary School and Sullivan Elementary School in Phoenix.
The children and families who participate in these Literacy Hubs are thriving! Parents are getting involved in their child’s education and the kids are meeting and exceeding their literacy benchmarks. We’d like to keep these important programs running in our community, while also working to open additional hubs at other schools in the Valley, but we need your help to get there.

Today, fewer than half of Maricopa County third graders are reading at grade level. The consequences of these early reading struggles can last a lifetime—impacting graduation rates, economic opportunities and overall community well-being.

Literacy Hubs at Title I schools are one of the many ways our community has come together to ensure young children are learning to read by the third grade, so they can then begin reading to learn.
These vibrant, literacy-rich spaces offer a multi-generational approach to provide families with evidence-based programming and tools that are needed to support early literacy, family stability and help every child succeed.
Because of you, we’ve already launched three Literacy Hubs that have been proven to help children meet and exceed literacy benchmarks. We need your support to sustain these vital Literacy Hubs, but we’re not stopping there.
