We know the calendar says summer officially starts in June, but around here, summer fun is already in full swing because Special Olympics Summer Games are kicking off in communities across the country!

From coast to coast, athletes with intellectual disabilities (ID) are lacing up, diving in, and giving it everything they’ve got in softball, track, swimming, bocce and more. Some events are already underway, and others are just around the corner. Summer Games are always a highlight of the year for Special Olympics athletes, and 2025 is shaping up to be one to remember!
