John, last week I sat down with Rachel Maddow to talk about what’s next for our democracy.

Here’s the summary of our conversation:

Right now we are living in an era that will be looked at with disbelief and shock by future generations.

While enduring an administration who works day and night to dismantle all social and economic progress made by those before us, we must remember that our unity is the greatest weapon we have.

Our current political battles echo some of the toughest fights democracy has faced throughout history— we have been here before, we have won before, and we can win again.

The only way we beat this is by banding together:

• Volunteering for local organizations
• Being selective about which companies we are supporting as we do our daily shopping
• Continuing to educate friends and family on the dangers of consuming MAGA/ far right media
• Investing in a grassroots cause actively fighting Trump and his disastrous plans.

This is an ongoing fight, but with the right tools and knowledge I know we can come back stronger than ever.
