Let's call these tariffs what they are: a Trump tax on small businesses and working families. 

Trump’s tariffs will cost New Mexicans up to $1,200 a year per household. This means you're going to be paying higher prices for groceries, cars, and everyday goods. 

Small businesses just trying to stay afloat have been forced to make difficult decisions due to these tariffs, like reducing their workforce and raising their prices. With so much uncertainty, folks are understandably less likely to make purchases, which could drag down New Mexico’s local economy and spark a nationwide recession. 

We need to elect leaders across our government who actually care about lowering prices for hardworking Americans, not starting useless trade wars and stoking their own egos.
