Republicans in Congress are in the process of ramming through a budget
bill that takes from the poor and gives to the rich,

If the GOP gets its way, they plan to slash nearly $1 TRILLION from
Medicaid, which will in turn kick 8.6 million people off their health
insurance.

According to Data for Progress, there is not a single congressional
district in the country where more than 15 percent of voters support
Medicaid cuts. This is a deeply unpopular move by Republicans to make
their millionaire and billionaire friends all the more wealthy at our
expense.

It’s not just Medicaid on the chopping block. As it stands, the current
bill would also cut other health, nutrition, education, housing
assistance, and clean energy funding — all to pay for tax cuts for the
wealthiest few and pump more money into the military and Trump’s
deportation force.

This budget is the embodiment of Trump and MAGA Republicans’ devotion to
corporations and the billionaire class, while throwing poor and
working-class families under the bus.

The Squad and other Justice Democrats’ members in Congress have been
leading the call against these potential cuts to the programs and services
that help our families and communities get by.
