John —
I came to Congress to fight for working families — not to help the wealthy and well-connected rig the system even further.
But that’s exactly what Republicans are trying to do.
They’re attacking SNAP — the program that helps over 40 million Americans keep food on the table — while lining their own pockets with tax breaks for billionaires and corporations.
Donald Trump and his allies want to slash nutrition assistance for struggling families, all while pushing policies that benefit the ultra-rich and their billionaire donors. And who does this hurt the most? Children. This is inhumane.
In Virginia's 7th District, we've seen firsthand how essential programs like SNAP are for our neighbors and children. Slashing these benefits isn't just a policy debate — it's a direct attack on our community's well-being.
Cutting SNAP while food prices are still sky-high is cruel and out of touch. Families are already stretching every dollar — and now my Republican colleagues want to take food off their tables? Unacceptable.
I'm committed to fighting these harmful proposals, but I can't do it alone. Your support enables me to stand up against these injustices and advocate for policies that uplift all Americans.
