Some of the other candidates in this race decided to use their time in the spotlight not to flesh out their plans for New Jersey’s future, but to play the kinds of political games that all of us are tired of.

But Mikie focused on what she always has: fighting for the people of New Jersey.

She spoke directly to New Jersey families about how, as our next governor, she will stand up for their freedoms, make daily life more affordable, and tackle the biggest challenges facing our state.

The truth is, there’s way too much on the line in this race for anybody to waste time fighting about the past. If Democrats lose, it will likely be to Donald Trump’s handpicked candidate, Jack Ciattarelli, who has promised to bring the MAGA agenda to our state. Mikie understands that he’s the real threat to New Jersey’s future, so she’s focused on winning, not squabbling with fellow Democrats.

Mikie understands the stakes, which is why she rose above the petty bickering taking place around her and talked about the issues — because she understands that more of the same old politics won’t get us out of the mess we’re in.
