Friend --

In a rare weekend vote, the House Budget Committee advanced the proposed federal budget—making a full House vote this week increasingly likely.

And that means one thing: our upcoming Country First Day of Action is more critical than ever.

This budget is dangerous and contains draconian cuts that would inflict real damage on working families. Take Medicaid for example.

Negotiations continue over cutting Medicaid for working families who meet all eligibility requirements—Americans who rely on these services for basic health care and stability.

Let’s be clear: eliminating fraud, waste, and abuse is common ground. But cutting services from Americans who rely on them—who qualify under the law—is not fiscal responsibility. It’s policy failure. And it erodes public trust in our institutions, with long-term consequences for our democracy.

That’s why Country First is holding a Day of Action this Tuesday at 1:00 PM ET. We’ll be contacting key Members of Congress to demand a clear answer:
Will you vote to cut Medicaid for those who qualify? Yes or No?

If we want to stop this reckless budget, we need to act now.

Onward,

Team Country First

PS: Movements matter, and because of you, we've shown Country First isn't just a slogan, it's a promise to the future
