Dear John,

I am so proud of all of the things we accomplished together in 2024. Thanks to early organizing, incredible candidates, and of course the support from folks like you, we flipped three seats from red to blue, held on to every single vulnerable incumbent seat, and even elected a new Democratic senator.

All of that to say: when we work hard, strategize, support our values, and yes, organize — we win.

The best part of my job is getting to build on our success cycle after cycle, recruiting and supporting incredible people, and then seeing the results in advocacy and policy.

We were able to accomplish everything we did in 2024 through our trademark strategy: organizing everywhere and organizing early. We had offices open months earlier than Republicans did. We had organizers out in the field, connecting with and educating voters before operatives thought it was necessary. In many cases, as early as 2023.

We won some races by the skin of our teeth – which means that if we had fallen short or started even a little later in some districts, we would’ve lost.

We’re prepared to replicate that strategy again for 2026 – now that we have even more vulnerable incumbents to protect. In fact, we’re just prepared to finalize our 2026 targets in the coming weeks, so we know exactly where we’re going to spend our time and resources.

However, how much we have in our war chest is a huge determining factor in how aggressive we can be, how many candidates we can afford to help, and where we can spend the most time.
