People wanted the government to run more efficiently. Great.

We’ve got a litany of ways to improve services at the VA, or to help Social Security become more responsive to the needs of Veterans, or to streamline the processes to access benefits owed.

Trump didn’t want to do any of that. Secretary Collins didn’t either. They let DOGE and Elon Musk run amok. So, what’d we get for it?

What they’ve got planned next is even worse.

We’re looking at 80,000 more VA staff, fired. Thousands more Veterans across government, fired. Millions of people on Medicaid losing their health care — including those who served. Housing support, gone. Food assistance, gone.

DOGE, Trump, and the GOP don’t care who they hurt — as long as they get their tax cuts.
