Dear VCC Community,

The vaccine conversation is shifting by the week. In a townhall meeting recently, Robert Kennedy Jr. responded to a question about vaccines with: "Part of the responsibility of being a parent... is to not trust everything your doctor says." "Doctors have been co-opted by the medical cartel... The medical schools are now run by pharmaceutical companies." "And so your job in a democracy... is to do your own research. And that's hard to do, but you need to do it to protect your child." 

While this is not news for those in the VCC community, it is wonderful to finally hear these words spoken out loud by someone of Kennedy’s stature. The world is finally catching up to what we at VCC have known for 43 years. This doesn’t mean that our work is finished. In some ways it is only just beginning. It seems to me that our voices and our experiences are only now being heard. 

A recent social media post which included comments I made in an interview I did with podcaster Nico Lagan ([link removed]) was viewed more than 800,000 times. It was a post where I challenged the fear mongering about a purported measles death in Texas. I shared the fact that we ought to be more concerned about the 563 deaths reported to the US VAERS monitoring system following measles vaccination as of June 28, 2024.

More and more parents are eager to hear our wisdom. There is a window of opportunity that has opened because of the egregious harm caused by the COVID vaccine and the government sanctioned coercion that violated medical choice and bodily sovereignty for millions of Canadians.

This is reflected in recent polls that show a significant increase in the number of Canadians who are questioning the vaccine narrative, who no longer trust that vaccines are safe and effective, and who recognize that if we do not have medical choice, we are not free people.

This year, with your support, we released our New Parent Guide to Understanding Vaccination ([link removed]) . Our goal is to assist young parents to exercise responsible decision-making with regards to vaccination. This guide has been incredibly well received. We’ve recently added an additional resource called Pregnancy and Vaccination ([link removed]) to target soon-to-be moms and dads.

I think we are doing our best work.  But this is only happening because of your support. VCC relies on the monthly and annual donations from our dedicated community of vaccine risk aware parents and grandparents.

As a Board of Directors, we’ve decided to limit our ask for your financial support to two times annually. With your support we can continue to make a difference. I have no doubt that our work is saving lives.
