Hey there — it’s Gina Ortiz Jones, former Under Secretary of the Air Force under President Biden and candidate for San Antonio Mayor, the 7th largest city in the country.

I’m officially in a runoff against Greg Abbott’s hand-picked candidate, and I need your help to build the grassroots movement we need to go toe-to-toe with right-wing megadonors.

That’s right — I’m officially running against Greg Abbott’s former Secretary of State, Rolando Pablos. 

Greg Abbott and his buddies dumped hundreds of thousands of dollars into this race at the last minute to drag Rolando across the finish line. 

Why? Because Rolando has — and is willing to again — bend the knee for Greg Abbott’s whims. 

More people live in San Antonio than in 11 states. We can do a lot of good for a lot of folks, or they’ll be made to suffer under Greg Abbott’s puppet. As Democrats, we need to hold ground, and that includes San Antonio.

We only have 20 days to secure victory, and with Greg Abbott’s dark money megadonors bankrolling my opponent, there is no time to waste.

Greg Abbott really wants to say that San Antonio — a majority Hispanic community — just voted for a Republican to be its next mayor. The Republicans get a talking point, Greg Abbott gets a puppet, and my community suffers. 

That’s why my team has set up an emergency $10,000 Battle for Texas fundraising goal to help us through the final stretch.
