Folks,

Donald Trump is toying with the idea of making cuts to half a dozen national monuments , including Organ Mountains-Desert Peaks. He is also considering this national monument as a potential site for mining activities — yes, you read that correctly.

New Mexico’s public lands and national monuments aren’t just beautiful destinations, they have shaped our state and our way of life.

Trump’s proposed cuts are a direct attack on our shared heritage.

Republicans may see our state’s public lands as commodities, but I see them as our birthright. As a conservationist and a former outdoor educator, I firmly believe that public lands must be preserved for future generations.

I’ve worked long and hard to protect New Mexico’s public lands, and I’m not letting these cuts go down without a fight.

If you have room in your budget, please chip in to support my fight and help elect Democratic leaders who will fight to keep public lands in public hands, just like I do. [[link removed]]
