   John,
On Day 1 back in the White House, Donald Trump wasted no time issuing an
unconstitutional executive order to rip away our fundamental right to
birthright citizenship, which is guaranteed by the 14th Amendment.
Since then, we’ve seen his far-right administration unleash ICE agents,
wearing plain clothes and face coverings, on our communities, terrorizing
immigrants and separating families to carry out their mass deportation
   plan.
I’ve fought this cruel, anti-immigrant agenda from the start, and this
week, I introduced legislation to protect birthright citizenship from
being illegally rolled back by Trump. [ [link removed] ]If I have your support in this
fight, will you rush a donation to my campaign and Justice Democrats now?

'Democrats to introduce bill to block Trump's attack on birthright
citizenship'. The subheading reads 'Rep. Delia Ramirez told The Intercept
she will introduce legislation to stop Trump from restricting birthright
   citizenship.'
As I told The Intercept, revoking the right to birthright citizenship,
which guarantees citizenship for anyone born on United States soil, is not
about immigration: it’s about upholding white supremacy.
This fight is deeply personal to me,
   John.
I'm the proud daughter of Guatemalan immigrants. My parents came to the
U.S. while my mother was pregnant with me, and they've worked their
hardest to give me and my siblings a better life. In addition, my husband
was a Dreamer. He came to the U.S. when he was just 14 years old, and
worked constantly to help his parents make ends meet.
I’m also the first Latina ever elected to Congress from Illinois, and was
the only member of Congress in a mixed-status family before my husband
received his green card late last year.
Needless to say, my goal has always been to be a champion for immigrant
families like mine, and this bill is the next step in our fight against an
authoritarian administration’s attempt to demean and erase us.
But our movement against white supremacism requires everyday people like
you stepping up, speaking out, and giving where you can to fuel our fight
   for justice for ALL.
[ [link removed] ]With all that said, my campaign and Justice Democrats don’t take a cent
from corporate PACs, so we could really use your support today in this
critical moment. Please split a grassroots contribution of
$5 or whatever you can — I appreciate it.
