Welcome to another addition of FT Now. There's a lot going on in the
world right now! In light of that, here are three stories you may have
missed! In Washington, liberal Governor Jay Inslee has no clue about an
Antifa-led takeover of part of his state's largest city. True to form,
New Mexico's governor is using her power to hypocritically punish
small businesses for the same activities she engaged in herself during
the COVID-19 pandemic. Not good. Last but not least, South Dakota
Governor Kristi Noem's response to the pandemic has drawn positive
attention to the state. Read below for more!

It's "News" To Jay Inslee That Anarchists Have Established Their Own
Nation In Seattle

What Happened:

Governor Jay Inslee missed the memo that the largest city in the state
is under siege by radical anarchists. Not only have Antifa-led forces
stormed city hall in Seattle they are demanding the resignation of the
city's uber-progressive mayor.

Why You Should Care:

Governor Inslee is either living under a rock larger than Mt. Rainier or
outright lying to Washington citizens as their largest city descends
into chaos. Either way, Inslee's inability to perform the most basic
functions of governing make him unequipped to run a hot dog stand, let
alone a state.

What Happens Next:

We will need to wait and see.

Hypocrite Michelle Lujan Grisham Pushes Heavy Fines On Businesses That
Didn't Sell Her Jewelry

What Happened:

Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham is using her power to hypocritically
punish small businesses for the same activities she engaged in herself
during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Why You Should Care:

As Lujan Grisham and her bevy of government lawyers are pushing the New
Mexico Supreme Court to levy $5,000 fines against businesses, she has
continued to come under fire for charges that she violated her own
lockdown order by purchasing jewelry from a local store while her
stay-at-home order was in effect and curbside pickup was prohibited.

What Happens Next:

By doubling down on punishing small businesses, Gov. Lujan Grisham makes
her state even less friendly for job creators.

Gov. Kristi Noem: 'While The Media Was Attacking Me, The People Were
Watching'

What Happened:

Republican South Dakota Gov. Kristi Noem, who has faced harsh criticism
from the mainstream media for refusing to shut her state down in
response to Covid-19, outlined some lessons South Dakota has learned
from her unique approach to the crisis.

Why You Should Care:

Contrary to the media narrative predicting a massive outbreak, South
Dakota has seen less Covid-19 deaths than 44 other states.

What Happens Next:

Per Gov. Noem: "More freedom, not more government, is the answer."
