Ursula Ellen Kennedy was the first woman to serve on City Council and as Mayor of Tustin. At a time when women were expected to stay home, she challenged societal limits and showed that women and girls can do anything.
I’m proud to introduce a bill this week to honor her service to our Tustin community with the support of her family, who I met in my DC office this week.

Economic security is national security, and U.S. foreign policy should advance our economic and national security interests.
The House Foreign Affairs Committee is working to do exactly that through the first State Department reauthorization in 20 years.
North Tustin has long been a pillar of Orange County, but its status as an unincorporated area causes confusion for taxes and USPS.
I'm proud to introduce a bill that would advance the process for providing North Tustin with a unique zip code to provide certainty for residents who have called North Tustin home for decades.
It's Police Week!
I'm so grateful for our brave men and women in blue who run into harm's way to keep us safe and protect our communities.
You all are HEROES! THANK YOU!
Members of Congress shouldn't be trading stocks. It's common sense.
I’m proud to lead the bipartisan Improving Access to Small Business Information Act.
This simple bill can make a big difference in helping our government work better for entrepreneurs who keep our economies running.
I joined a Natural Resources Committee hearing this week on how improved land management can protect communities in the Wildland-Urban interface, which featured San Bernardino County Fire Chief Dan Munsey as a witness. Supporting our first responders is a top priority.
Great to see Inland Empire Utilities Agency Secretary and Treasurer Steven Elie in my DC office this week! I appreciate all you do to support our Chino Hills community.
Reduced access to banking services can lead to less small business lending and higher costs for consumers.
I asked in this week’s Financial Services Committee hearing how regulators impact community banks.
I hosted a roundtable with local small business owners and NFIB California to hear their thoughts on lowering taxes and the impact of tariffs on their businesses as the U.S. works toward fair trade partnerships. Fighting for my community is my top priority.
UCI Health came by my office this week as Congress works to protect and strengthen key health programs. Grateful for their work to support our community’s needs.
As we mark Police Week, my team was grateful to show OCSD - Mission Viejo Chief of Police Services Jason Ivins and his wife Linda around our U.S. Capitol.
Thank you for your service to our community!
Thank you to the CA Medical Association for meeting with me as Congress works to protect and strengthen Medicaid for our most vulnerable Americans. I appreciate all that you do to provide quality care in our community.
Team Young helped Da Bianca Trattoria celebrate 35 years in Orange! A dream come true for Bianca Cangelosi Bavand, who seized the opportunity with her husband Artie to open Da Bianca close to their East Orange home in 1990. Congratulations!
My team loved showing CA-40 families around the U.S. Capitol this week! Are you coming to DC this summer? Let us know!
I met with the Peace Officers Research Association of California during Police Week to discuss ensuring our brave police receive the benefits they have rightfully earned keeping our communities safe.
I’ll always support our men and women in law enforcement.
Great to see California Dairies this week to discuss trade, global manufacturing, and other priorities for our CA dairy farmers that help fuel our communities.
Great to see City of Riverside, CA Mayor Patricia Lock Dawson, Councilmember Steven Robillard, and City Manager Mike Futrell to discuss the surface transportation authorization bill, tax priorities, and preserving the Low-Income Housing Tax Credit expansion. Thanks for coming by!
