Re: Portal Update and Information
It is our goal to provide service as quickly as we can. We appreciate your patience as we use the new system, work to fix issues that arise, and support customers who need assistance.
Below is important information that will help you with your Portal experience.
Important Updates
Processing Delays Liquor and Cannabis Licenses: Issuing licenses has been slower than is typical as we use the new Portal to process applications. Due to the delays, we recommend submitting your application at least 90 days before your planned opening date.
Refunds: We have fixed a technical bug that had prevented us from issuing refunds. We will begin issuing refunds on May 19 and expect to be complete by week’s end. We will return to a weekly refund cadence going forward.
Setting Up a Portal Account
- Most LCB services require a Portal account. Only Banquet Permits, Household Moves, and Public Records Requests can be made without logging in with an account.
- Beginning May 22, Public Records requests will be made via this link.
- To log in and create a Portal account, you also need a Secure Access Washington (SAW) account Once you have a SAW account, go to the LCB Portal and select 'LCB Portal Registration.' Once registered, you will then be able to select 'SAW Single Sign On' to login to the LCB Portal (each individual from a business must have their own email address and SAW username).
- Many businesses and licensees already have a SAW account. If you have problems setting up your SAW account or with SAW's single sign-on, please contact WaTech at (360) 586-1000 or [email protected].
- To set up your account, begin by clicking the “Log In” button on the top right of the Portal homepage. You can also watch a video on the account set up.
