Friend, I know my team and I have been all over your email inbox the last few days, so let me just say two things real quick:

First, I’m sorry for the barrage of emails, and we so appreciate your willingness to put up with it. We’ve only been reaching out so often because this election really is that close and the stakes really are that high — and with Election Day less than 4 weeks away, every single grassroots donation right now is put to immediate use, whether it’s for $1 or $100. Truly.

Second, THANK YOU, because thanks to the donations we received late last night after we sent out our most recent email, we pushed through our mid-month fundraising goal.

Listen, that might sound like meaningless campaign jargon. But the reality is, we build these goals thoughtfully to ensure that we’re able to execute on every bit of our campaign operation. These goals enable us to run through the tape on Election Day and be prepared to hit the ground running in the general election.

I never take for granted what an honor it is to have a team of grassroots supporters like you who believe in this work, who are committed to defending our constitutional freedoms and making our state a safer and more affordable place to live — and who know how important it is that we prevent the right-wing extremists who are taking our nation down such a destructive path from implementing the same agenda here in New Jersey.

I don’t say this lightly: It’s clear we’ve got the momentum in this race right now. You and I both know that, and so do the Republicans who are doing everything they can to try and stop us.

So while I’m so proud of this team for hitting last night’s goal, no one here is taking their foot off the gas. I’m in this fight to deliver for the people of New Jersey, and that’s exactly what I intend to do.
