I first decided to run for Congress in 2017 when Republicans were trying to rip healthcare away from millions of people, including my own brother. I was furious. And I knew I had to do something.

Together, we fought back. Our voices were so loud that it became too politically unfeasible and ultimately John McCain gave the iconic thumbs down. We protected healthcare for millions of Americans and saved countless lives.

But now, they’re at it again. Republicans are back in power and plowing forward with their new plan to kick millions of Americans off Medicaid, just to hand another giant tax break to billionaires like Elon Musk.

I’m terrified about what this will mean for thousands of people in my community who rely on Medi-Cal for lifesaving care, prescriptions, and doctor visits. If this bill passes, they won’t be able to afford healthcare.

It’s cruel. It’s heartless. And it’s shameful. We can’t let it happen!

The GOP is trying to push this through the House before Memorial Day. I am a NO vote, but we need to do more. We need to raise our voices loudly and clearly, just like we did last time! Will you please sign my petition and tell Congress to reject this terrible bill?

This isn’t just about politics. It’s about people’s lives.
