The Minnesota Department of Revenue is aware that some counties issued corrected 2025 property tax statements due to errors on the original statements. This may impact some taxpayers who used the original statements to file Form M1PR. Not all corrected property tax statements will affect Form M1PR.
*What should I do if Form M1PR was filed with incorrect information? *
Form M1PRX, Amended Homestead Credit Refund [ [link removed] ] will need to be filed if changes to Line 1 or Line 2 impact the amount of the property tax refund. You do not need to wait for your original return to process before filing Form M1PRX. We will process the amended return at the same time we process the original.
*What should I do if Form M1PR has not yet been filed for my client? *
Verify that you have the most recent or corrected 2025 property tax statement before filing Form M1PR, Homestead Credit Refund [ [link removed] ].
