John,
Israel’s genocidal war against the Palestinians is powered by cutting edge technologies and surveillance systems supplied by Cisco Systems, a U.S. based technology company. These include servers and other technological infrastructure used by the Israeli military and Israel’s Ministry of Defense.1 By refusing to cut ties with Israel, Cisco isn’t just ignoring human rights violations, it is actively complicit in the active erasure of the Palestinian people.2 Sign the petition demanding that Cisco end its role in supporting atrocities against Palestinians and immediately divest from Israel.
TAKE ACTION
From 2017 to 2023, Cisco supplied servers and related services to Israel’s Ministry of Defense through a partnership with Bynet, a company tied to the surveillance and oppression of Palestinians.3 Even after the contract ended, Cisco has continued selling servers and hardware to Israel, supplying the technological infrastructure for Israel’s mass surveillance and AI warfare systems, including Blue Wolf, Red Wolf, Lavender AI, Where is Daddy?, and The Gospel.4 Israel’s purchases of Cisco tech totaled nearly $2 million between November 2023 and January 2024, coinciding with its escalated military actions against Palestinians.5
For months, Cisco employees have been powerfully protesting Cisco’s complicity in the genocide in Gaza by petitioning the company for the cancellation of contracts with Israel. However, their bold efforts—including an open letter to Cisco’s leadership6—have been met with targeted harassment, discrimination, and a hostile work environment.7 We have the responsibility to flank these workers as they take a stand, and together we have the power to change Cisco’s policies—we’ve done it before, and we can do it again.8
It’s time for Cisco to abide by its own Global Human Rights Policy9 of “mitigat[ing] potential human rights risks linked to [its] business.”10 Take action by sending this simple message to Cisco: Companies should not profit from genocide. Divest from Israel now!

Thank you for lending a hand in this important fight.
