Friend,
As the school year comes to an end, I want to highlight our teachers and everything they do. Our teachers pour their hearts into shaping the next generation, most often unnoticed but their impact is lifelong.
My respect for educators comes from my mother, who was a public school teacher here in Tennessee. Because of her and many others, I want to ensure our children receive the best education possible, which is why, as governor, I promise to appoint a Commissioner of Education with Tennessee teaching experience!
Parents also deserve to have a say in what their children are learning and how they’re being taught. I’ll fight for both.
