You may have seen the recent news highlighting my new role — as the Assistant Democratic Leader of the House of Representatives — leading House Democrats’ “multi-pronged opposition” to President Trump’s unconstitutional executive orders. 

As a public servant, proud American, and former impeachment manager who prosecuted Trump’s second impeachment, I’m committed to doing my part to defend our democracy.

As a son of immigrants who lived the American Dream, and as someone who has committed his life to serving our community, I refuse to stand idly by as the Trump administration dismantles our core freedoms. That is why I’m leading the effort to push back against the administration’s attacks against the rule of law, joining with my friend and colleague Rep. Ro Khanna as we work together to defend our Constitution.
