Finally a much needed win. Last week a federal judge blocked MAGA Republicans from hijacking the 2024 North Carolina Supreme Court election. On Wednesday, Judge Allison Riggs was sworn in as a Justice of the NC Supreme Court!

After winning her seat on the state’s highest court in November, her MAGA-backed opponent launched a shameless multi-month scheme to overturn the results — trying to throw out thousands of legitimate votes, including ballots from deployed service members.

Last week, a federal judge ruled that Riggs must be certified as the rightful winner. Now she’s finally been sworn in:

While we won this battle, the war for our courts is far from over.

Right now, MAGA extremists and right-wing billionaires like Elon Musk are gearing up for their next target: taking down the three Democratic justices on the Pennsylvania Supreme Court in their 2025 retention election.

If the far-right flips the court, they’ll control how elections are run in one of the most pivotal swing states in the nation. Say goodbye to Pennsylvania being competitive for Dems in the 2026 midterms, when Trump seeks reelection in 2028, and beyond.
