There are a couple important reasons why we can’t lose momentum now.

For starters, our Republican opponent is self-funding large parts of his campaign. We already know national groups will and are funneling huge amounts of dark money into attack ads against vulnerable Democrats. Now, we have to contend with our opponent’s deep pockets.

And speaking of those national groups, we're already facing a barrage of new digital attacks from National Republicans. They’re explicitly targeting Democrats they consider to be the most “at-risk” in 2026.

We can’t let these early attacks go unanswered, friend, and the reality is that it costs money to get our message out. That’s why we’re determined to meet all of our quarterly fundraising goals, and we can’t accept any less in a district as competitive as IL-17.
