John, as of today about 1/3 of the 100,000+ DeKalb absentee ballots have been counted. We hope to have the final results next week and will keep you updated as we receive more numbers.

Thank you to everyone who voted by mail - you not only helped make sure there weren't even longer lines on Election Day, but you helped our campaign close the percentage gap! Thank you.

While we continue to wait on DeKalb to finish the vote tallies, it seems like a good time to talk about election reform and ways we can expand voting rights in our county.

In April, I introduced my DeKalb For the People Act - [link removed]

The reforms I'm proposing aren't radical - and we don't have to wait for the politicians in Washington to take action, we can pass and implement these changes right here, locally.

We must add democracy reform to the legislative priorities of DeKalb County, including:

- Election Day as a county-wide holiday

- End Voter Purges

- Publicly financed elections

This long history of state-sponsored disenfranchisement has to stop, and we can start right here in DeKalb.

- Ted

P.S. Team Ted is working hard to make sure EVERY vote is counted from the primary, but we need your help. Donate any amount right now so we can ensure that every ballot cast gets counted in this election. Please help us ensure EVERY vote in DeKalb is counted. >> [link removed]
