Friends, I just stepped out of a Senate hearing after calling out Republicans’ anti-American SAVE Act bill.

The SAVE Act is a desperate power grab by Donald Trump to undermine our democracy. Unlike my Republican colleagues, I refuse to stay silent when millions of American citizens could be disenfranchised from their right to vote.

Let me tell you more about why this bill is so disastrous, and why your support is needed today.

Since taking office, Donald Trump has made attacking our election integrity one of his top priorities. He made that clear last month when his allies in the House of Representatives passed the SAVE Act.

Republicans know their MAGA agenda is unpopular. The American people don’t want to cut Medicaid or gut Social Security to pay for tax breaks for billionaires like Elon Musk.

But instead of listening to the will of the voters, they’re trying to make it harder for anyone who disagrees with them to vote at all.

If passed, the SAVE Act would make voting harder for millions of voters — especially new voters, married women, and active duty servicemembers.

That means no more online voter registration. No more voter registration drives. No more mailing in your registration — something millions of people have done safely for years.

This is a clear attack on the voting rights of American citizens. We cannot let this bill pass.

Luckily, there’s hope. There’s a reason why the SAVE Act isn’t on Trump’s desk right now: It’s because Senate Republicans don’t have the votes.

Thanks to your advocacy, Senate Republicans are feeling the heat. They’re realizing that voting “Yes” on this Trump power grab will come at a huge, political price to themselves.
