Negotiations around the Cap & Trade Program are happening right now for the 2025 legislative session. Revenue from this program goes into the Greenhouse Gas Reduction Fund (GGRF), which provides funding for the Affordable Housing and Sustainable Communities (AHSC) program. AHSC receives a 20% continuous appropriation from GGRF, providing significant funding for integrated housing and transportation projects across California.

We Need YOU to Take Action! Use this simple Call to Action Toolkit, created by our colleagues at Enterprise Community Partners, to engage and amplify the importance of funding the AHSC program. Sign onto the joint coalition letter and/or use an email template to contact lawmakers and urge support for the AHSC!

LISC Bay Area recently announced that applications are now open for their next Faith & Housing Program cohort! This free, year-long training program is designed for faith-based organizations seeking to explore and/or develop affordable housing on their land.

Since 2019, LISC’s Faith and Housing program has supported faith and community partners in navigating real estate development, funding, and partnership opportunities. This program partners with faith-based organizations to develop affordable housing, leveraging church-owned land and resources to address community housing needs.

Merritt Community Capital Corporation: Merritt Job Demand Study Merritt is in the process of conducting a Job Demand Study, designed to assess industry hiring needs, identify skill gaps and training priorities, and help inform the design of workforce development initiatives. The survey should take about 5 minutes. After responses are collected, the findings will be compiled into a report that will be shared with industry partners.
