This year's Camp Diva Leadership Academy theme is Roots & Wings.

We're curating a transformative camp experience for our 21st year designed to honor and celebrate cultural heritage while empowering participants to envision and pursue their brightest futures. Through engaging activities, workshops, and storytelling, girls will explore the rich history and contributions of Black women, connect with their roots, and develop a deep sense of pride in their identity. At the same time, the program focuses on building confidence, leadership skills, and goal-setting strategies to help participants soar toward their dreams.

Roots & Wings fosters sisterhood, resilience, and self-belief, ensuring that each girl leaves equipped to embrace her heritage and boldly shape her future.

Girls For A Change has always been clear and unapologetic in our mission to uplift the voices and experiences of Black girls. Regardless of the continuous and ever-present work being done to silence their voices, our work, and the narrative of Black liberation, we will continue to charge forward.

Your support opens the door to a summer of growth, sisterhood, and discovery.
Six weeks of summer camp currently costs $2,600 per participant. As costs continue to rise, the need for affordable, full-day summer programming remains high for families.

Help us ensure that financial aid is available to any girl who wants to attend Camp Diva.

One week of summer camp = $430

Virginia Neighborhood Assistance Credits

Girls For A Change is an approved non-profit organization for the 2024-2025
Virginia Neighborhood Assistance Program (NAP). For a minimum gift of $500, an individual donor may be eligible to receive a 65% tax credit against his or her Virginia state income tax. The maximum allowable individual gift is $125,000. For businesses: $616 is the minimum donation eligible for tax credits in their taxable year. There is no maximum donation limitation for businesses.

Unlike a tax deduction, a tax credit reduces a donor’s tax bill dollar-for-dollar. For example, a $2,000 donation to Girls For A Change using this program would generate $1,300 in tax credits, so the donation would only “cost” the donor $700. When the tax credits are combined with the federal charitable deduction, the donation “cost” lowers even further.
