Celebrating Mother's Day
It was great to celebrate Mother's Day this past weekend. I want to thank my amazing wife, Kristen, for being the best mom to our three boys!
I hope everyone had an incredible day celebrating the moms in their lives.

Congratulations Washington Police Chief Mike McCoy
From his time as Peoria County Sheriff, to serving as Washington Police Chief, Mike McCoy has made significant contributions to the safety and wellbeing of communities across central Illinois.
I thank him for his nearly 50 years of service and wish him and his family the best in his well-deserved retirement.

Visiting with Mayor Ric Offerman
During my district travel, I had the opportunity to catch up with Minooka Mayor Ric Offerman.
We discussed his plans for community development and how he is engaging with the people of Minooka. I appreciate the time he took out of his day to update me!
Participating in the White House Task Force on the FIFA World Cup 2026
It was great to participate in the first meeting of the White House Task Force on the FIFA World Cup 2026!
This task force will provide much-needed leadership to ensure the safety, security, and success of the matches being played across the country. I look forward to working with my colleagues and the Trump Administration to prepare for the FIFA World Cup.
Visiting Local Farms
I want to thank the Dwyer family for hosting me at their farm in Coal Valley to discuss how Congress can support our farmers and the impact that precision agriculture technology has on family-owned farms.
I am committed to making sure our farmers and producers in Illinois' 16th Congressional District have the support they need to feed our community.
Unleashing American Energy
President Trump is actively working to unleash American energy. Commercial explosives companies are critical to achieving energy independence.
I had the opportunity to visit the U.S. Silica Quarry in Ottawa to hear about the work they are doing and the economic impact they are having throughout Illinois' 16th Congressional District and across the country.
Highlighting Over 100 Days of President Trump's Second Term
I enjoyed sitting down with Eric Olsen to discuss President Trump's accomplishments in his first 100 days and giving an update on what is happening in Washington, D.C.

Providing an Update on D.C.
It was great to attend Grundy County's Economic Development Council's Legislative Breakfast in Morris!
At the event, I gave an update on the work that I am doing in D.C. During my remarks, I emphasized the importance of making President Trump's historic tax cuts permanent and the work that I am doing to help alleviate the challenges facing our rural hospitals.

Playing in the Congressional Soccer Game
I had a great time playing in the 11th annual Congressional Soccer Match!
I’m always proud to participate and support U.S. Soccer Foundation’s mission of helping children in underserved communities embrace active and healthy lifestyles.
Supporting Our Seniors
While traveling throughout the district, I had the opportunity to tour Heritage Woods Senior Living Center of Minooka! I want to thank Brandy Scheer and the excellent staff for taking the time to meet with me. During my tour, they showcased how they care for seniors, highlighted the resources and services they provide for residents, and how they work to support the surrounding community.
One More Thing: Congratulating Pope Leo
I join Catholics in Illinois' 16th Congressional District and the across the world in congratulating Pope Leo XIV, a native of Chicago and the first American Pope, to lead the Catholic Church.
I am confident that he will be a generational leader who will support peace and unity across the globe at this historic time!
