Waterkeeper Alliance issued a statement expressing concern over U.S. EPA’s plans to cancel key PFAS research grants and the potential rollback of existing regulations. We’re calling on Administrator Zeldin to show real leadership by strengthening protections, not weakening them, and issued a Dive Into Democracy inviting the U.S. public to join our call for Zeldin to back up his words with tangible action.

Pre-production plastic pellets, or nurdles, contribute to significant pollution, with an estimated 10 trillion entering oceans annually. Many also pollute rivers and lakes, including 42 of 66 beaches on the Great Lakes.


In our very first year  documenting this form of plastic pollution, nearly 1,000 volunteers helped collect over 36,000 plastic pellets across 25 U.S. states and 10 countries. This remarkable achievement wouldn’t have been possible without the dedication of everyone involved.
