What’s moving through Congress this week should concern everyone --
Fox viewers included. Republicans are proposing up to $880 billion in Medicaid cuts and $230 billion in cuts to SNAP, which helps thousands of families put food on the table.
Families across our district need real relief -- and I know that in Southern and Central Illinois, folks from all political backgrounds agree: slashing Medicaid and food assistance just to hand out tax breaks to the wealthy is flat-out wrong.
I serve on the House Agriculture Committee -- the same committee debating these massive SNAP cuts. I want to be clear that I’ll be fighting them every step of the way.
