After losing the Fort Worth City Council race earlier this month, Payton Jackson isn't taking time to reflect on her recent loss – she's doubling down. Now, she's launching a campaign to unseat me in TX-33.

John, you need to know this isn't just another run-off-the-mill opponent.

Payton Jackson represents a dangerous brand of extremism that has no place in our government. She's gone viral in some of the darkest corners of the internet for hateful rhetoric, used slurs against past opponents, pushed conspiracy theories about abortion, and spread dangerous lies that don't belong anywhere near our democracy.

And if she has her way, she'll bring that agenda to Congress. This brand of right-wing extremism is spreading across our country quickly, and our district is one of the backstops resisting. We cannot afford not to take it seriously – we saw what happened when people dismissed Trump as unserious.
