John,

After two years of explosive clean energy growth, the first quarter of 2025 saw a staggering decline in clean energy manufacturing. It’s the first drop since the Inflation Reduction Act in August 2022 passed.

Just last year, we were on the cusp of a full-on clean manufacturing renaissance: projects were breaking ground, jobs were being created, and momentum was on our side. But in just three months, six clean manufacturing projects were canceled. These six projects accounted for $6.9 billion worth of investment — the highest value of cancellations on record.

And that was only Q1.

This can’t wait, John, and our SEEC Members know it. SEEC Member Rep. Marcy Kaptur (OH-09) is the top Democrat on the Appropriations Subcommittee that funds the Department of Energy, and she is fighting back against this funding freeze because it is raising energy prices and undermining American energy. Will you rush a donation to help members like Rep. Kaptur continue defending clean energy and clean manufacturing? [[link removed]]

The rest of the world is already making leaps and bounds in the transition to clean energy and embracing 21st-century climate protections. Meanwhile, the Trump administration is trying to gut every climate protection we’ve fought for, from vehicle standards to emissions reductions to renewable incentives. All so they can hand more favors to the fossil fuel industry.

A better world is possible, John. Even if this administration is actively hostile to any and all efforts to build a sustainable future, all is not yet lost. SEEC members make up nearly one-fourth of the House, and with your help, they can keep growing their ranks and fighting for our planet. Will you support them? [[link removed]]

Thank you,
SEEC PAC

Thanks to your help in 2024, SEEC PAC was able to re-elect over 95% of our pro-environment members to the U.S. House of Representatives — defying the odds on a night where Democrats lost seats. Now we are counting on you to help our SEEC members pass climate, clean energy and environmental justice policies in the 119th Congress while we continue fighting for a sustainable future. But if you'd like to receive fewer emails, we understand.
