[link removed] [[link removed]] John,I wanted you to hear this directly from me:
A federal judge just paused a key part of President Trump’s dangerous executive order on voting. This is potentially a temporary but important victory in the fight to protect our freedom to vote.
The order would have required documentary proof of citizenship on the national voter registration form—something we know from experience would shut out millions of eligible Americans.
But a judge agreed with us: The president doesn’t have the authority to rewrite election law on his own.
This victory happened because we didn’t stay silent. And because we fought back in the courts.
Now, I need your help. This is far from over, and we must keep going. Will you chip in $10 or more today to help us keep fighting? [[link removed]]

Here in Minnesota, we’ve joined separate litigation alongside 18 other states to stop the rest of this executive order. We’re not backing down.
This ruling was clear: no president, regardless of party, can short-circuit the will of Congress and unilaterally change how our elections work.
We’ve seen this before. The SAVE Act, which was passed by the House, tried to push these same harmful restrictions. And now the Trump administration is trying to implement them by executive order.
This is a legal, political, and moral battle—and I will never stop defending the right to vote for every eligible American. Please help me keep up the fight by chipping in $5 or $10 now → [[link removed]]
Let’s keep going,
Steve
