We have the advantage of the CCL annual conference being right here in Washington D.C. at the Omni Hotel in NW DC.

I’m planning to attend CCL’s Summer Conference + Lobby Day, July 21–22, will I see you there?

Help us create a strong showing from Washington DC—we are able to visit with our own Member of Congress Eleanor Holmes Norton AND we can support other volunteers from across the country, meeting with both Republicans and Democrats in Congress to talk about climate.  We’ve all put in so much effort here all year, and it would make a big difference to have a full team of us there. I’m already signed up and would love to have you with me. It gives us a chance to share with volunteers across the country what we are doing in D.C. with our city council, and with local community outreach to have leadership on climate. It also gives us a chance to listen to powerful think tanks to help us understand the priority policies for climate.

It creates a strong impression in DC when CCL volunteers fill the cafeterias and halls of the Congressional office buildings. Everyone knows CCL is there. You would be a great addition to the team. The early bird registration fee is available until May 15

If you’re on the fence or have any questions, I’m happy to chat anytime. I know it’s a commitment, but from my experience, it’s incredibly rewarding and truly moves the needle. With everything happening in the capitol right now, we need to make sure that climate doesn’t get forgotten.

Let me know what you’re thinking—and I really hope you’ll consider coming along.
