National Small Business Week

For over 60 years, National Small Business Week has celebrated the dedication, resilience, and success of Main Street America. Representing 99% of U.S. businesses and creating over 59 million jobs, America’s entrepreneurs and small business owners fuel our economy and keep our communities strong. As Chairman of the House Committee on Small Business, I am working each day to uplift Main Street by cutting regulatory red tape, revitalizing small businesses, and supporting American investment. Under Republican leadership, the American Dream is alive, and the Golden Age is here! Watch my remarks at the House GOP leadership stakeout here.

SBC Member Day Hearing

I led a Member Day hearing to hear from members of Congress who do not sit on the Small Business Committee about the issues small businesses in their districts are facing. This conversation shed light on the challenges and opportunities impacting Main Street America. My committee will continue the fight to uplift and serve our nation’s job creators.

Financial Services Committee Hearing

In Wednesday’s Financial Services Committee hearing, Treasury Secretary Bessent testified on the State of the International Financial System. For too long, China has taken advantage of the International Financial System and has become the world’s largest creditor. The United States must leverage its leadership on the world stage to counter China’s growing influence as a global lender and put an end to its deceptive economic practices. Watch my line of questioning here.

Introduced “Glioblastoma Awareness Day” Resolution

I introduced a resolution in support of Glioblastoma Awareness Day. My resolution increases glioblastoma awareness, which is critical to research and treatment advancements, and expresses support for those battling this disease. Together, we will continue to build on the progress we have made as we search for a cure to end brain cancer. May we honor the strength and resilience of those fighting today and those we have lost.

House Passed the Gulf of America Act

American service members have long defended the gulf, and U.S. taxpayers foot the bill. This week, House Republicans passed legislation to codify President Trump’s executive order, renaming it the ‘Gulf of America.’ We remain committed to advancing President Trump’s agenda and will continue working to put America first.
