The Lincoln Project

Friend,

We think it’s time the world knew Trump’s rigorous criteria for hiring high-level government officials.

Journalism majors, take notes.

All you have to do to secure one of these jobs in the Trump regime is make your way on to Fox News (doesn’t matter if you’re on prime time or weekend), and make sure to praise Trump like you’re on a Russian propaganda network.

No, we’re not kidding. This is how he does it.

Don’t tell us Hegseth got to his position based on his qualifications. And definitely don’t tell us that about Jeanine Pirro, Trump’s pick for DC U.S. Attorney. Who’s somehow… worse than Ed Martin? Yeah, that Ed Martin.

Our favorite fact about her? She’s been nominated for two Daytime Emmy awards and lost twice. We’ll see how this nomination for U.S. Attorney goes, but we’re thinking Jeanine is about to go 0 for 3.

Donald Trump is making a mockery out of our democracy. He’s giving out some of the highest level jobs in the country to failed TV stars. What would our founding fathers think of this?

They’d be livid. The American people deserve a real government, not a Fox News reunion. The more we expose how underqualified this regime is, the more votes we flip in 2026. Help us grow the movement >>
