Conversion therapy is a cruel practice intended to forcibly change the identities of 2SLGBTQ+ people and has been resoundingly denounced by every major health organization in America.

But the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) released a report this week that essentially greenlights conversion therapy practices through various medical jargon and political framing.

This especially puts 2SLGBTQ+ youth across the country at risk.

Freedom Oklahoma, a leading 2SLGBTQ+ advocacy organization and one of Groundwork Project’s partners, spoke out against this regressive reporting. They warned that this is a dangerous step backward for our federal government, and we agree.
