When caregivers can’t afford child care, they’re often forced to give up their careers… which means less income and more financial hardship.  

Head Start helps families break this cycle.    

 
These programs provide a safe place for kids to stay during working hours with access to nutritious meals, medical services and early learning opportunities.  

Simply put, Head Start is some children’s path out of poverty –  boosting their chances of graduating high school, attending college and securing steady jobs in the future.  

John, lawmakers must do everything in their power to protect Head Start. Will you tell yours to safeguard Head Start and support strong American families? 

Head Start also helps parents become their child’s first and best teacher, equipping them with essential parenting skills to encourage curiosity and actively nurture development.  

Last year, 750,000 kids were enrolled in Head Start. Congress MUST continue to invest in this life-changing program.
