John —
Last November, North Carolina voters elected Democrat Allison Riggs to continue serving us as a justice on our state Supreme Court.
For six months, her Republican opponent pushed forward a blatantly anti-democratic lawsuit that aimed to disenfranchise tens of thousands of voters in a bid to overturn the election result in his favor.
Republicans used this race here in NC to try to write a playbook for stealing through the courts elections they don’t win at the ballot box. But Allison never gave up.
She steadfastly fought in state and federal courts to ensure that every legal NC voter would have their ballot counted and to prevent the GOP from changing the election’s rules after the fact.
Now, the last uncertified election of 2024 is finally over. After a scathing federal court ruling against the GOP’s attempt to steal an election, Allison’s opponent has conceded, and her victory is confirmed.
I’m grateful to the judge whose ruling defended our voters’ constitutional rights and to Allison for standing up for every last voter.
Will you join me in thanking Justice Allison Riggs for her defense of North Carolinians’ rights? Add your name to show your gratitude >>>
I know she’ll appreciate it,
Josh
